So, you feel stuck…One door has closed, and you need a new avenue to go down. This is a part of life and comes with time. It’s something we should not approach with uncertainty rather open arms and an open mind. Life is ever changing, and we should be ready to adjust our sails. Some things I like to do when I feel like I’m in a rut and want to seek out some change…
Find a new hobby
Knit, color, photography, makeup, blog, sculpt, learn a language, cook, garden, start a podcast, volunteer. Don’t want to do it alone? Find a club or ask a friend.
Reach out to that person you’ve always wanted to be friends with
I know you follow someone on social media that you think to yourself “wow we could be great friends!” or “They would be so much fun to hang out with!” What are you waiting for? Send them a message, they may be thinking the same exact thing.
Do something with your hair!
I think hair is a very identifying feature to someone. Want to change? Find a new hair color, cut or style. Embrace a new look.
Move to a new place
That is if you’re able. If nothing is holding you back, I say go where your heart is telling you to go and start over if you need. Nothing is permanent.
Invest in a new exercise routine
Lots of studios host free classes for your first time. Want to try yoga or barre? Orange theory? A cycle class? DO IT! You may find a new love for a different type of workout.
Buy a new outfit/ adopt a new style
You can’t tell me you don’t Pinterest cute outfits and think “I wish I could pull that off…” I BET YOU COULD. Go try on some different styled clothing at the mall.
Re-do your room/space
So, moving isn’t an option for you…. Then think about some interior designing. Get a new color for the walls, some different pictures to put up and a different bed spread. Re-arrange how you have your space set up, doing this can make it feel like a whole new environment.
